gunbutt –
I typically use Wolff spring kits but decided to try this Wilson Combat kit. What a letdown! The mainspring wouldn't fit over the connector because the two prongs were too close together. I tried to file/sand the prongs to get them to fit but with no luck. Then I very carefully tried to spread the prongs just ever so and one prong snapped off! The rebound springs were too stiff too. I ended up throwing the Wilson kit away. I bought a Wolff spring kit and it worked perfectly.

I was working on a 1911 Commander, and one issue I had was the recoil spring was really heavy, and hard to pull the slide back. Installed the 12 pound recoil spring, and it's a pleasure to operate now.

wilsons trigger spring is 3/16 shorter then stock ruger spring. using stock hammer spring, its also too soft & causes failed resets on every trigger pull. meaning u have to put ur trigger finger behind the trigger & scoot it forward till it cliks in reset. works sometimes with the wilson light hammersprings but not to be trusted. this is dangerous in a self defense situation & shouldnt be sold on here
