I’m partial to the chameleon/spectrum/rainbow PVD, and have tried several different makers. True Precision is the only manufacturer that makes the single stack/micro sized pistol barrels correctly to spec. Have them in my g43 and now my p365.

This is a beautiful barrel, the finish is flawless. I bought the gold version which is titanium nitrate coated. I have not shot the gun yet but when chambering a round or just cycling the slide you can feel it slightly wants to catch as the breach closes even with a liberal coding of gun oil. The surface is not nearly as slick as the stock barrel but it seems to be going into battery smoother once cycled multiple times. Time will tell once I start putting some rounds through it.

I purchased the True Precision barrel for improved accuracy and the wider feed ramp but also wanted it to have a good Black Nitride finish. Unfortunately, the first barrel I received had a row of rounded ridges on the outside top of the barrel chamber from one end to the other which were very noticeable. I contacted OpticsPlanet customer service about this issue and they did an expedited exchange and replacement of the old barrel with a new one. The fit and finish on the replacement barrel that I received is about as perfect as anyone could ever ask for and there are no abnormal contact points when cycling the slide. I look forward to testing this new barrel at the range soon and appreciate the OpticsPlanet customer service team for their work.

Fit and finish is spot on. No problems running defense ammo or range ammo through it. The coating color is like a medium matte grey which in my opinion is perfect. True Precision makes some high quality barrels!

This is an upgrade over the OEM barrel. The stainless steel also matches the nitron slides if you’re interested in that thing. It’s almost the same price as an OEM barrel so I decided to try this and I’m pleased with the result.Caveat: I’d recommend this item to anybody who is replacing their aged or damaged barrels. If your barrel from the factory is good still it’s not a substantial enough update to do this swap.

The finish is super rough and is causing feeding issues with regular ball ammo stock barrel seems much more dependable. Overall looks are secondary to dependability I came in wanting to upgrade the look and the advertised increased dependability sadly not the case.
